Since 1967, MENC has challenged music educators to teach music from not only the past but to explore music of today. This session will provide a rationale for integrating popular styles into a general music or music appreciation curriculum by exploring the connection of popular music to National Standards and practical classroom applications using various forms of technology. The session will provide unique strategies and activities for the inclusion of popular music for grades 3-6 and 7-12.
Feel free to invite others... even non-music majors.
